Technology is a tool that has advanced in the past many years and has greatly impacted the education world. Students have opportunities in learning that they never had before. There is a wide range of technological tools that can assist all kinds of students in their education experience from computers, hand-held devices, cameras and smartboards. When students use technology they can suddenly collaborate with peers while working on real life problems. This is beneficial to social learning and cognitive development. Students can also present their work in a way they could have never done before. Student can use many different sources and devices to present written projects, slides, videos and other interesting links. I would use technology in my literacy instruction through the use of many helpful sites. One such site is the ipad app Word Mover.
